Comecei a testar o Obsidian, instalei o plug-in para postagem no micro.blog, baixei um tema minimalista e a primeira impressão que tive foi: parece muito com o iA Writer, mas com várias funcionalidades a mais. Pesquisando, vi que muita gente já se deparou com isso e muitos, inclusive, usam os dois aplicativos juntos, acessando os mesmos arquivos. Um ponto imediato de diferença entre os dois é que, no Android, o Obsidian não consegue acessar diretamente uma pasta (vault) no Google Drive; é necessário designar uma pasta local e usar um outro aplicativo (AutoSync) para manter o sincronismo entre a pasta local e o Google Drive; ou seja, um custo adicional e mais um ponto de falha. O iA Writer, por outro lado, não consegue exportar para o micro.blog no Android e é bugadíssimo para acessar o Google Drive no iOS.

Recebi ontem a nova impressora L3250 para substituir a L455 que, depois de muitos anos e dezenas de milhares de páginas impressas, já estava morrendo.

A diferença de qualidade entre ambas é absurda; a L3250 é leve, parece feita de plástico fino que se quebra facilmente, é barulhenta, o painel é horrível e sem tela LCD para gerenciar a impressora; qualquer coisa que se vá fazer depende do app no celular.

Comprei devido ao preço e aos reviews OK sobre a mesma.

A instalação foi tranquila graças a um tutorial super detalhado que achei no youtube (https://youtu.be/B0LwH3dQpsc), senão seria bem mais complicada.

Ainda estou na fase de testes de impressão, em breve vou colocar em produção imprimindo material para clientes, em quantidade.

Minha experiência com o MS Outlook and o MS To Do no Mac não durou mais que 15 minutos. Eles simplesmente não conversam entre si, não há qualquer integração. O Outlook abre o To Do na web e as tarefas do To Do não aparecem no calendário do Outlook. Já removi ambos para liberar espaço no SSD.

Talking about subscriptions, I have defined a “Rule of 5” when evaluating a new app: if it costs more than USD5/month or takes me more than 5 minutes to understand how it works, it’s out. Exceptions may apply.

My side project today was to configure email sending for both name@userid.omg.lol (using free tier of Zoho Mail) and userid@omg.lol (using 30 days free trial of Fastmail).

Both options were easy to setup and are working as expected!

I came accross this Medium post today and it’s providential that it appeared just when I need to declutter my Mac desktop for the new year.

Hi, this is just a test post from MarsEdit 5, released today. Yet to decide if it´s worth the price as I am not an avid blogger and, when converting the price in US Dollars to Brazilian Reais, it is an expensive purchase.

It took me some time to configure MarsEdit as the help pages on both MarsEdit and micro.blog sites are not very clear, but it seems to be OK now.
